Absolutely the best burger I’ve ever had hands down! We got the double deluxe burger all the way with a side of “dirty” fries and a bottle coke! I will 100% be coming back for more! If you are looking for a great burger come here and you will not be disappointed! Atmosphere is great as well they have music playing outside with picnic tables with umbrellas!
I've been dying to try this burger truck for a while now—I always see a crowd around it! I had planned to go with my friend (sorry, Amy!), but I couldn't wait any longer. I decided to keep it simple with the classic burger (no cheese) and a small order of fries. I loved it! I asked for the sauce on the side since I wasn't sure I'd like it, but it turned out great. It has a nice kick—not spicy, but definitely flavorful with a blend of spices. 10/10. Check out the pictures to see what the burger looks like! If you're not into thinner patties, this might not be for you—but hey, leave your negative reviews elsewhere. A double is probably the way to go if you want more meat, but I prefer a lighter bite, so the single was perfect. Highly recommend, and I’m definitely coming back—this time with Amy. Hi Amy!
Best burger in the country! I travel a lot and I haven’t found a burger as well composed as this. DJs has a way of making each bite flavorful and full of texture while also not being messy. Real fries from scratch and beef patties smashed in beef tallow… what more needs to be said! Find out and treat yourself.
During a brief visit to Gainesville. I searched food near me and this place came up. Me and my 94 year old mother decided to give them a try. We both ordered the double DJ's Classic Burger with an order of Fries and drinks. The Burger was very delicious, juicy and cooked to perfection. The veggies on the Burger tasted fresh. The fries were also delicious and had a nice crispy crunch. The dipping Sauce for the fries was also delicious with a nice spicy kick. We ate outside and enjoyed watching the 8th Ave traffic. Overall, we had a wonderful dining experience. Even my 94 year old mother was impressed with the food and believe me, that's saying a lot
Entire team was incredible! We weren’t waiting all of 30 seconds before Nick acknowledged us and let us know he’d be right with us. While ordering he was super helpful with recommendations and was able to give us some great suggestions since it was our first time there. Like their chocolate chunk sea salt cookie that he talked me into getting! Lol I completely missed the text our food was ready and all the gentleman (Nick, Bobby & Raul) were walking over to us to bring our food (we ordered plenty because it was for 4 people!) like what incredible customer service!! Something we definitely need more of today. Especially from such young gents! The food was top tier! My son is a picky eater so for him to eat his entire burger and fries it was a true testament to how amazing the food was. The quality was awesome. The presentation was awesome but the flavors were even more amazing. From the flavor filled smash patties to their tasty spicy mayo! And don’t get me started on the fries!! just all top tier and that cookie! Amazing. Freshly baked and extremely soft crumbling in our hands just wow!! BOMB! And they were so nice to give us one more cookie for our kiddos. Just top tier service and food for sure! We will absolutely be back!
Once a campus food truck on University, DJ's Cast Iron has now moved to a different spot by CYM. My first visit was a mix of highs and lows. I got a double patty burger and it was very fillling for lunch. The burger patties had a great crispiness, and the burger sauce was spot on. The fries were good, though the chili topping was very spice-forward—almost like taco meat—which made it a bit challenging to finish the chili fries. Service was relatively quick, parking was convenient, and prices were good overall. I'd definitely go back to give it another try.
DJ’s Cast Iron Burgers is genuinely the best burger I’ve had in Gainesville! Miguel and Jose are wonderful owners with backgrounds in culinary school and are down to earth, hard working people! Nicolas and the other employees are great too. As for the food - amazing. Everything is made from scratch, even the sauce and the cookies. The flaky sea salt on the cookies was an unexpected delight. The burgers are the star of the show though - I personally love the Oklahoma Onion Burger. The flavors are rich and savory, but not too overpowering. The fries are thin and perfectly crispy, not crunchy, and seasoned amazingly. The sauce is wonderful, too! Give this place a try, you’ll be hooked! I don’t think I can enjoy any other burger in town again after eating here
Double deluxe burger. Everything was amazing. Would like to know more about the pickles…they were dill, yet sweet…encountering them on the burger was a taste sensation.
